So my glovebox is stuck locked. It has my registration and proof of insurance in there, I think I may need that sometime

The locking mechanism will move to the locked and unlocked position but will not budge.

How can I open it?

 

it happened to me once.. my wallet was in, too. I had to bring the car in and the dealer had to change the lock as the key is connected to it.
