Opening the boot today, I noticed that at the ends of both pneumatic cartridges, where the rod slides into the cartridge, there is some rust-like residue. It pretty much wipes of with my finger, but I'm a little concerned that this means a lot of moisture is getting into the interior, even if it isn't directly in liquid form. Anyone else notice this?? I'm going to mention it to Dreyer and Reinbold next time I'm by the showroom, to see if they can determine the cause.

How often do you wash your car? The cartridges get wet when washing, next time open the boot and wipe down the area, this might help.

I believe these are the source for a very annoying rattle on the Cooper. Hopefully the dealer will replace next week.
