Another .random idea,

Yes I'm a MCS hopeful in December, but the ones I have looked at (thus far)
don't seem to have an openable/removable rear-sunroof.
Why not have the glass-plate removable and stow it in the back
(or with the rear-seats folded down). It would enhance the
open-air expierence

Or have I become MAAAAD?!

You'd also need to have the front removable, since it opens over the back pane.

Right, I didn't think about the covering the back pane

At least mini designed in two sunroofs. The last production
car I remember in the U.S. with two sunroofs was the
toyota previa (hazy memory...)

Remove the rear window too while you're at it to really get the air moving thru the cabin.

Now that's NICE! I forgot if the conversion kit is available in the US or not?

That has to be a little bit lighter. When I think of Mini sunroofs that's what I think of.

My Mini gets here in Mid-August -- what exactly can you do with the rear section of the sunroof?

MightyMiniz- rad modification  I'll have to look into that.
What does that cost? (of course I'm sure if enough $$$ were
expended- you could have anyone do it

That is the AC Schnitzer Kit but i'm sure within the US you can get the same deal for less $$. But this one replaces the hole and I would assume that if needed, with a little know how, one could replace the glass for the winter.
