Power Steering Went
#76
Make sure you have the correct Power steering fluid from the dealer.
If you put in the Walmart cheapy brand stuff, you will live to regret it.
Changing the pump isn't so hard.
Getting a good used one is a lot cheaper these days.
I sent my old one out and got it rebuilt, just waiting for the day the used one goes.
(Then the 5 speed trans flew apart and now the car is just sitting gathering dust and bees nests.)
So much for that plan.
And for the guy who was asking if you can drive around with the P/S unit dead, I did it for 3 weeks. It's do-able, but parallel parking is a real work out for the arms.
