squeaking clutch when engine is on

My clutch squeaks when i am shifting or in neutral... but only when the engine is on. anybody have this same problem and a fix?

I may stop by the dealer sometime this or next week but its not a huge problem, just annoying.

It also doesnt squeak all the time... really weird. I assume its just a linkage that needs some lube but i just wanted to see if anybody else was experiencing this.

Yup! I have it too! It does seem intermittent. I have not really figured it out. I have gotten under the dash and lubed every contact point I could get to, but it still did not go away. Beats me? When I have to go to the dealer, I will mention it to them. But I am not going unless I have to. Mine started about 4k miles?

interesting... mine started started around 4k as well .

I brought my MINI in today to have them take a look at that as well as the sunroof rattle. At first they said it seemed like something with the slave cylinder and that they could fix it by the end of the day...

well when they called back at the end of the day, the SA said that its not the slave cylinder... they have to pull the trans and check the clutch fork, which he thinks is just not lubed properly.

Also, the sunroof rattle could not be fixed and will be needing a new cassette.

The SA said it will take 2-3 days to get all of that work done .

fixed today...

Turns out they just had to remove the slave cylinder and were able to lube the clutch fork. I dont know if its my imagination... but the clutch feels buttery smooth now.
