Factory Driving Light RUST!

Last night on the way home I noticed my drivers side factory driving light was out so today I took the light apart to pull the bulb to replace it and here is what I found:

This is the back of the part that holds the lens. The glass sits on the other side and the hole you see is where the bulb is mounted. On the other side where the reflector portion is part of the reflector is starting to bubble up and pull away from the base. It is still shiny at the point but soon it will pull apart. The trim ring for the light also had rust on the inside:

The opposite side of the trim ring looks like this:

This is after I cleaned it up the best I could. If you have factory driving lights check to see if there is any rust where the screw is on the outside. If there is I would take it apart and see what yours looks like inside.

Seems that I have three or maybe more choices. I can buy brand new factory lights only and replace these. I can buy after market lights and try to fit them into the system I have, or I can see if MINI sells the parts I need separately. Maybe there are other suggestions? Anyone seen anything like this before? I did a search and didnt come up with anything.
