Magnetic Oil Drain Plug for MC 2004

Anyone know who sells Magnetic Oil Drain Plugs for a 2004 MC ?

I see them for the original Minis, but not for the BMW MINI

I would recommend a Fumoto Drain valve but if you have to have a magnet. Just search for a Size 14mm-1.5 magnetic drain plug.

Thanks norm03s for the correct thread size info

OK,

The one I ordered online was too small in diameter

So before I try again, is the size for the 04 MC 14mm x 1.5 ?

Also, anyone know how long the stock plug is? That is the length of the threaded area ?

I think I have an extra oil filter and drain plug out in the car. If no one else responds today, I'll measure the length of the drain plug and post it tonight.

jrprich,

old thread but did you ever figure out which of CG enterprises magnetic plugs work? They offer many 14x1.5 magnetic plugs, not sure which one is best for our cars and I haven't gotten a reply from them yet about this.

Does anyone know the length of threads of the stock oil drain plug?

Looks like second e-mail is the charm.

Gary from CG Enterprises got right back to me today, recommending we use plug 1015 with our cars. That would mean 14x1.5 plug, BUT with 16mm hex head, 7.6mm tall and 11.8mm of thread depth.

FYI
