I have an intermittant problem with the hood / boot warning light coming on.

It only happens when it is cold, below freezing. If I am lucky, the warning tone beeps and the light in the speedo flashes. Usually, the warning tone beeps every time I hit a bump or ripple on the road, and the warning light flashes like mad. This is especially annoying on long trips.

I took off the wire harness from the hood switch (located on the passenger side hood latch mechanism) and sprayed the switch and harness out with contact cleaner. So far, all is quiet.
