Depends. How many miles are on your rotors? How many brake pad changes have you done?
Word from my service department is that the MINI rotor cannot be turned. We just had our 06 in for replacing the front brake pads and they put in a new set of rotors and pads. Our tech told me he makes a point of letting people know that the rotors cannot be turned and how much the brake job is, $600, so that they don't get surprised when it has to be done out of warranty.
Every person I've talked to has told me that rotors can't/should not be turned on a European car. I don't know why but I've always followed that. Softer metal maybe? Its not worth the effort anyway. Brembo blanks can be had for 40 for fronts, 60 for rears. There are other choices (read:more $$$) if you so choose.
You can get dimpled and slotted rotors on Ebay for $164 for all for wheels. I got mine and the rotors are excellent with EBC green pads. Did rotors. pads and stainless braided lines for under $500.

Most stock rotors now don't have enough "meat" on them to be turned and still leave enough thickness to prevent warping. By the time you turn them to eliminate normal wear and grooving, they are at or very near the stamped 'minimums'. Not worth the bother.
Excellent quality and inexpensive brake rotors here:
