got some probs
Hello all, last afternoon i was driving my car as usual when i pressed the gas to reach 4000rpm the car just began shaking violently. What then happened was i got a check engine light and my tcs light on. I went to a local autozone to get the codes read and what i got are "the pcm has determined that a malfunction exists in the electrical circuit for cylinedr #2 fuel injector." Probable causes: 1. Open or shorted fuel injector(s)
2. Open or short in electrical circuit
3. high fuel pressure-pressure regulator defective-fuel return line blocked
4. check tps and circuit for failure
my other code was "the pcm has determined a misfire in cylinder #2
Probable causes:
1. Ignition systerm fault-spark plug(s)
2. Vacuum leak
3. Injecter fault
4. High or low fuel pressure
What do you guys think happend, i mean is it common for a fuel injector to mess up on these cars, i mean its not even old?
Also i did not have much fuel, it was right before the fuel light came on, so do you think a starvation of fuel did it in?
I dont get where the tcs light falls into.....
Also with the causes listed what is the worst case scenario i might experience?
Any and all help is appreciated. thanks in advance.
the engine codes are : P0302 and P0202 and the service egine light would blink from time to time.

Low fuel could cause this concern. Easiest way to figure that out is to clear the codes, fill the tank with fuel and try to duplicate exactly the conditions that the SES light came on. If it's not low fuel, you'll know right away!!!
0202 injector open circuit
0302 cylinder 2 misfire.
It is probably the injector, then DME, then wiring.
Have you cleared the faults? If so has the fault returned and is the car driving normal, slightly under power or does it continue to misfire?
If everything is ok now, you can easily swap the injector to another cylinder. Check out the wiring connector too, that first few inches of wire are the only exposed sections exposed to damage. If/when the fault returns you can see if it fallows the injector or stays at that cylinder. Infact, swap the spark plug to a third cylinder just to rule that out too. All components moved should go to seperate cylinders so that there is no question of the source.

the problem still persists, i didnt clear the code but the problem is still there. I have made an appointment with my dealer. Im hoping its something simple, i would fix it myself but i dont feel comfortable messing with injectors and the likes. If it is the injector how much do you think a stealership would charge for labor/parts?
