I have an 07 w/leather sport seats. The seats are not heated. I want to self install seat heaters (I have done this surgery before and I am not afraid). I want to know if anyone has either done this surgery themselves or had a shop do it. Please only R56 folks. One of the seat heater sites that I went to suggested that the MINI seat covers were glued. This might make sense to me with the cloth seats but not leather. I await the wisdom of the sages.

The only advice I can offer you is to disconnect the battery when you remove the seat. That way you will not set the airbag alarm which can only be reset by the dealer. Im sure that the leather covers would be easily removed once you get the seat out.
