03 mini cooper 52xxx miles 5 speed when i downshift sometimes the clutch sound like it loose it kinda has a low rumble groaning noise any ideas

 

mine is doing this with a pulsing kind of rumble... did you ever get a solution?
only when the engine is a drag on the tires... down shifting or foot off gas deceleration in gear.

 

ya man same thing still happens i have come to the conclusion that is is the midlands transmission falling apart inside it seems to be a common problem so i am driving it till it stops moving then a uprated tranny will have to go in i guess
