Has anyone broken the latch on the rear seat panel that allows the locking mechanism to lower the seat?? Well my right rear latch is not functioning..it looks like the wire has pulled loose. There are no dealers within 600 miles, so I guess I'll try a local BMW dealer.

The MCS I test drove yesterday had the same exact problem. A trip to the service shop will take care of it.

THE FRONT PASSENGER SEAT ON MY 2 WEEK OLD MCS IS LOCKED IN THE PUSHED FORWARD POSITION FOR ENTRY TO THE REAR SEATS. NONE OF THE THREE CONTROLS HAVE ANY EFFECT, PLUS THE SEAT SLIDES BACK & FORTH WITH ACCEL. & STOPPING. MAKES A GOOD ARMREST. HOPEFULLY THE DEALER CAN FIX IT TOMORROW. ONE OTHER MINOR POINT, AT AN OVERHEAD STOPLIGHT, I HAVE TO EITHER STAY FURTHER BACK FROM THE LIGHT OR TWIST MY HEAD DOWNWARD TO SEE THE BLOOMIN' THING. MAYBE A FUTURE WINDSHIELD COULD BE A FEW INCHES TALLER OR CURVED HIGHER ON THE ROOF.
