Turbo heat shield material

All,

Found this company who produces heat shield material for race applications. Attaches to the hot (exhuast) side of the turbo. Can withstand up to 1,800F. Am going to install on my car soonest. $66 for the kit, and free UPS shipping for those fortunate enough to live in the lower 48....

No problemo, will take photos of each step and post when I can. Will probably be a couple weeks though, so hang tight.

Happy motoring to all

So are you adding more insulation to the tubo (like under the exising tin pie-pan)? Or will this be replacing the existing shielding?

There is no shield on the turbo , thats the manifold shield you see . (EDIT)Just noticed my post makes no sense for the original post . Carry on .

i had the same type of material on my STi's turbine side. worked nice keeping the turbo hot which equals more exhaust flow. Im not sure if this will cause issues with the dealer if anything happens to the engine. Dealers like to blame the owner for anything if the car has mods.
