Cruise control failure

The cruise control on my '02 S has been a problem since about 8k. It fails and gives the double-blink. After 3-4 replaced brake switches, the mechanic says there is electrical feedback from something else that is regularly activated. When the system is reset the cruise works well for somewhat less than a week, the zip, the double-blink failure again. I'm looking for feedback from those who have also had this problem but found a satisfactory resolution. Interestingly, the tire pressure and belt warning lights also come on intermittently when there is no problem. I'm wondering if these two concerns are related.

Wow, deja vu all over again. My 03 is going back to Baron Wed for a similar problem. Service advisor says they got some bad brake switches from MINI, mine was just replaced a couple of weeks ago. I'll let you know what they say this time.
