Is there anyone out there that can verify a tool to reset the airbag light? I am over 3 hours from the nearest dealer and figure I should start to do my own maintenance. I have heard that there is a tool for resetting the airbag light on BMWs, but I have not heard that it definitely works on minis. I wanted to make sure before purchasing.

The Peake SRS BMW airbag light reset tool might or might not work:

"Does the SRS tool work on the Mini? Basically no. We've had some customers use it and it worked, but others have found that it did not work. I posted a similar question a while ago. The local foreign car shop, could not do it, he did'nt have the proper plug in with his Snap-on unit. The non MINI, BMW dealer did erase the code ,but did not want to do it until I told him I bought the car there and was considering another purchase. However now the car threw the code ,lit the light for no reason . The tooling would cost thousands I believe.
