I just had both my xenon Head lights replaced by the dealer (under warrenty) because the right (passenger) side would no longer align itself. the lamp just drooped in the housing, but the dealer said there was a problem with both lamps so they replaced both. who was i to argue . What i noticed was that the new units have a plastic instead of glass lens. This should be less prone to breakage Maybe i will not have to replace the 3m shields for lamp protection.
