i was walking past my MCS tonight and i saw a yellowish looking picture (a lock smybol with the number 1 in it and a steering wheel) in the digital display window in the tachometer. can anyone tell me what this icon means.

I believe that was an exclamation point meaning the key is not present.

oh, ok. exclamation point.....thank you Skuzzy. but why was it on as i was walking past the mini? i must add the car ran fine today.

I believe that it means that the steering wheel is locked. You can hear it lock when you take out the magic disc.
