Jerky...High RPMs...What???
Jerky...High RPMs...What???
I've not ever posted here before, but I'm rather at a loss and have come seeking any help I can get....
My lovely 2005 automatic MC has been having some problems that have me a bit, well frantic.
It started off with the standard CVT issues with jerky motions, and lurching in low gears - which was greatly helped by reading the CVT sections and driving a touch differently...
But now? Now when I start the car in the morning the RPMs are up at around 2K - without the air on, and stay up there unless I slam on the breaks or restart the car. Additionally, sometimes when I'm coming to a stop the RPMs dip so low that I feel a bit like it's going to stall out on me.
Am I crazy?
Should I just up and take the car to the shop or am I missing some vital flaw that others know about with the CVT? The closest dealer is about four hours away...
*sigh*
Open to any and all advice.
