Hot Air

I have an '03 MCS with climate control. When I set the temp to "low" I get warm air. My A/C doesn't seem to be working. I tried recharging, but the system appears to be full. Any potential electronic gremlins that could cause this?

In the thread below, the guy's air compressor died, and as a result, it was blowing out hot air. This is most likely your problem. He has a bunch of mods on his car, hence the whole discussion in the thread. If you don't have any mods on it and your car is still under warranty, the dealer should replace the compressor. Hope this helps!

does the compressor work? can you here it click on when you turn on the blower. does the air temp change fromt he vents when you turn up the temp?

if the compressor is clicking on then its probably in the hvac housing or control unit, isnt moving the blend door to the fully cold position. if the compressor isnt turning on then you have a problem with either the compressor or the compressor on signal fro the control unit (dealer work if in warrenty)

if the temp is changing when you adj the desired temp but just not getting old, then possible the blend door in the hvac housing is moving fully.
if the temp doesnt change then you would probably have problem with either the blend door actuator or the control unit.

just a couple quick checks to help narrow it down so you know what to tell the dealer, it helps the techs out.
