Hello St. Louis MINI community,

I have a very strange question. I am from Minnesota but have found a MCS in St. Louis that I'm interested in buying. I have been wanting a MINI for over 5 years now and found an MCS that I don't think I can pass up. Here's the problem. The guy said that he smoked in the car, but stopped 4 months ago. He had the car professionally detailed and says he doesn't think it smells like smoke. If that is the case, I'd like to go down to buy it...but if it reeks of smoke I would have wasted a very long trip.

Here's my question...would anyone in the area be willing to go check it out for me? I realize it is a lot to ask, but I thought it would be worth a try and I know the MINI community is a great bunch of people. Here is the link to the listing on AutoTrader. If things change, let me know. I could probably check it out for you. I am very sensitive to smoke. I can't stand it the smell.

 

It turns out he hasn't sold it yet. It has been in several accidents so I think that is scaring people away from it. But his asking price is hard to pass up. Would anyone be willing to scout it out for me if they're close?
