Is this the reason for MINI of St. Louis non-support?
I got this email today, did any of you get it too? Sorry for the crude copy, but I could not find a better way to attach it to this thread.

As cherished members of the MINI of St. Louis family (or, as folks considering becoming such!!), we want to make you aware of an exciting new development taking place within our local MINI community of fervent 'Motorers'!
We want to make you aware of a NEW, yet not new at all (read on!), club that all MINI drivers are being invited to join.from current members of other MINI clubs (how can one EVER be in 'too many' MINI--or Mini--clubs, we ask you??), to you folks who simply still have your first MINI on order, to all you who have been lurking in the shadows thus far, as yet unaccosted by such invitations, save for the random encounter at a gas pump by a fellow Motorer, ha!!
Come one, come all.the more, the merrier, as is ALWAYS the case with MINI!
What's this new club? Why, it's actually the much-awaited revival of a nationally-heralded (truly!; worldwide-ly heralded, actually!!) and unbelievably FUN group of 'MINIacs' known as the
M.A.D.M.E.N.
"MID-AMERICA DIEHARD MINI ENTHUSIASTS' NETWORK!"
...Originally created for Classic Mini owners, and now the playground to NEW MINI owners as as well!
Laura Crosby, Webmistress for MINI of St. Louis and MINIster of Enthusiasm (so dubbed by Karl, read on), recalls fondly, as if it were only yesterday (but it's actually been nearly THREE YEARS!! Amazing..) making Karl Strauch's acquaintance, the founder of the MADMEN club! (You may have seen Karl tooling about in Wildwood in 'Bruiser', his 2002 Electric Blue/Black Cooper S beauty!). Before Laura could even click her heels twice, Karl had mailed her an official MADMEN jean-jacket patch, a DVD of past MADMEN events, and a colorful REAM of MINI paraphenalia that could've choked any horse! What a guy, and what a wonderful advertisement for MINI! Karl, who was (and is!) not only loaded-down with goodies for us every time we see him, also immediately struck us with his fiendish wit and hilarity, how much he is brimming over with good cheer, not to mention his funniest-on-the-face-of-the-earth LAUGH! Prime MINIster of Clayton (again, Karl's doing!) and MINI of St. Louis Sales Manager Joe Cacciabando even remarked once that, after a dry spell of no Karl appearances, he wished Karl would come by so that he could hear Karl's laugh, and laugh at it himself!
