It's "official"

Yes, what you all have heard by now is true, the mini is gone. Nothing happened in terms of an accident or anything like that, the mini just wasnt my thing anymore. To make a long story short:

About 2 weeks ago i had driven a few hours and had got out of the beast and found my back to be completely in pain. That was the last straw. I've had lower back problems for a while and it finally got to me. Along with that, little problems here and there had kind of driven me bonkers. Rattles here, rattles there that the dealership just couldnt find. Cold start they couldnt get rid of, still a slight yo-yo, little things that i just didnt think our cars shouldnt have had. I have a lot of friends in the VW club and of course my good friend adam is also. So he was like, lets go look at a VW, and I was open to suggestions and decided to go look. Thats when i saw it, i went onto the lot and saw this special edition Jetta, the GLI! I had to get more info along with a drive and stuff. After that, i simply fell in love. Factory Recaro's, BBS RC's 18x7.5, and a factory body kit along with a special edition paint color, Black Magic Pearl. I love it, its simply amazing. Same price as the mini and it also has that much more space + the insurance is cheaper.

I will admit i slightly miss the mini, but other than that, it just seem's like the mini was just a "dream" that taught me so much about cars and car clubs. I also saw more tuning potential in this car. Most of the parts are a lot cheaper and you get a TON more performance out of the parts. $=hp is a lot better than the mini. Something that i could afford to mod a bit more.

New Beast:

Thankyou guys so much for the fun we've had. You all treated me like an adult even though im only 16 and that REALLY ment a lot to me. It was a total blast and i hope to stop by from time to time to say hey at some of the events. I really will miss you guys.

Different strokes for different folks as many people have said. Have a good time everyone and ill see you from time to time.

Thanks,
Scott
PS: Don't miss me too much.

So Scott, what did you do with all of the mod's you had on the MCS? Did you get rid of them with the car?

Hhhhmmmm....I was going to say "Motor On", but I guess that's not really appropriate in your case anymore, is it?

Well, take it easy, you'll be missed. I guess this officially makes Matt the youngest member of the club, now?

That means that Matt is the youngest now. I took off the BMP intake, but left the pulley, i really didnt care nor was i going to tell them about it. The only other thing i forgot which i wish i should have pulled out was the aux kit, but my car's long gone now...

I can ALWAYS! still motor on. No matter what, its still a motoringable vehicle, just not a mini.

Interesting, I went from a Jetta VR6 to the MINI. They both have their merits. Actually, there are certainly times I miss the Jetta and particularly the VR6.

Enjoy!
