2003 Cooper S suggested asking price
2003 Cooper S suggested asking price
Hey there, next month I plan on trying to sell my Mini S. I'm looking to get a feel for what I should be asking. a few details
127,000 miles
electric blue - white top and mirrors
dent in hood, drivers door.
leather interior (driver seat worn so is steering wheel)
6 speed with a good clutch
5 addition rims and tires come with the car
I replaced the passenger side seat belt and now the airbag light is on
Other then that it is a great running car, daily driver in expected condition.
I was thinking of asking $4500 with room for trades and talk.... anythoughts?

I'd say start there, and you can always move down if it doesn't sell. There are not a lot of these cars in that price range, so that would appeal to a person such as myself who doesn't mind getting his / her hands dirty to get into one reasonably.
I paid $1,500 for mine in excellent cosmetic condition, but needing a trans (R50, bad Midlands). I did the 6 speed conversion, and with all the other little things like tires, chrome line kit, O2 sensor, motor mounts, etc etc (long list), I have $4,500 into mine. I doubt I could get that out of it with it's current 129k miles. I would have preferred to buy yours, I think, even though my car is really nice now.

Thanks, yeah I bought mine for cheap as well and I have put alot of work into it but as life would have it my wife is about to have our 4th child. So I think it's time i give up my Mini and buy a larger car. Thanks for the input.
