Airbag light
Airbag light
Does anyone have a scanner that can plug up and tell me why my airbag light came on. I know the dealers can do it but don't they charge you a shop hour (?$100?)
I would be happy to pay, I was just hoping to give someone on here some cash instaead of the dealer, plus if it was less then $100 bucks i'd be grateful.
Thanks

Look under the seats and make sure the yellow connectors are tight. This happens when the seats are moved around and they can come loose. Unplug wait a little and plug back in. Then see if light goes out. Might take a few start ups. Also, there are two connectors behind bumper into the sensors. Other than that a dealer check. Be sure to ask for a club discount.
Autozone can only pull generic check engine light codes.
This would be a dealer item to have properly diagnosed. Be careful messing around with any Airbag component.
With the airbag light on, the system could be disabled. Not good if involved in an accident.
Be safe.
Cheers!
