Tragic news
I'm very sorry to have gotten this news today. R.I.P. Matt. If anyone gets an update on Debbie please share.
It is with a heavy heart we must pass on the news that one of our club members, Matt Wahing, died on Wednesday in a one car accident on Interstate 70, 5 miles east of Junction City Kansas. His fiancé, Debbie Stepka was injured in the accident and is hospitalized. They were passengers in a car driven by another couple. All occupants were wearing seatbelts.
We will miss Matt, “Deadeye” as he called himself. Debbie and Matt attended many club events with his trusty guide dog “Sugar”. Let’s all remember Matt’s great sense of humor and pray for Debbie’s recovery.

What a tragic loss. Our hearts go out to Debbie for her loss & may she recover quickly. Matt will be missed. Here is his obituary. Perhaps the Club should make a donation to the Blind Athletes.
