Zisser Tire

I had the tires I ordered from Tire Rack shipped to Zisser Tire on Gravois. I called up John he put on the tires and alligned my wheels for a good price. It has been a good expereince all the way around. I originally had dunlop run flats that had 2 nails in them John said. I ordered Kumos non run flat tires. I experienced a much smoother ride today. Very nice.

Thanks for the info ...

Craig, do you mind sharing how much you paid for your tires? We're shopping for new tires (two sets of runflats is all we're prepared to put up with, thanks!) and I'm getting some scary big estimates.

Big thanks ...

... to you, Craig -- a Zisser Tire just opened maybe three miles from my house out here near Wentzville! I was getting estimates of around $1000 for a set from Dobbs and NTB because apparently the only non-runflat tires they stock that they'll put on a Mini are performance tires. At that price, we might as well keep the @#$%&* runflats! The guy at Bavarian Enterprises quoted me $89 a tire, but it would mean a trip in to U. City. You just saved us a bunch of money -- thanks!

I bought Kumos ecstas non run flats. They don't have a tire tread warrenty guarantee, but the rep from tirerack said they were good tires. I've been on them for about a month and they are offer a much smoohter ride than the originals tires that came with my 06 cooper. When you order the tire make sure you state that you have orginal run flats. I then sent them to my local independent tire dealer of which was Zisser since I knew the guy. It was very easy to get this taken care of. I called tirerack rather than placing the order online. I wanted to get the reps opinion.

Zisser put Yokohama ES100's on Bowser about 3 years ago, and it was a great experience. They were great to work with, and went out of there way to help. I'd definitely recommend.

We ended up going to Bavarian Enterprises -- our first postwarranty service experience, actually, and they seem pretty cool. Coop got a set of Dunlops that John, the manager we dealt with (whose wife drives a Mini), said were being put on a lot of BMWs. They've got a wider tread than the tires we'd been driving and will apparently hold up better in inclement weather and give us a longer tread life. We got the set of four for about $500.
