St. Louis?
I would check out the AB Brewery and the Zoo for sure.
Old Town St. Charles is also a good way to spend and evening.
This time of year and if you want to drive around check out Grafton, IL, it is a great little river town with lots to see and eat.
Six Flags about 40min west of the city if you are into the parks.
If you like strip clubs....some of the nation's craziest are just over the river in the lovely eastside.
Hope this helps...enjoy your stay at the Gateway.

The zoo for sure if you have time. It's definitely the best free zoo in the nation if not the best in the nation. Forest park is the largest Urban park in the country (i think) and has some wonderful outdoor sculpture.
If you are into graffiti, the wall behind my mini in my signature is over 3 miles long and is covered in some great artwork. It's near the arch grounds. If you are interested, let me know and i'll point you in the right direction.
There's the Delmar Loop where there's Blueberry Hill where there's tons of memorabilia to look at. Chuck Berry is actually playing there tonight.
I'll post again if I think of some more stuff.
