Where to get brakes done in Socal?
Where to get brakes done in Socal?
My 02 MCS needs brakes, front and rear. Pads and rotors. Whats the easiest, most economical way to do this? The car doesnt see much high performance stuff, no need to upgrade, I just want it done at minimal cost.
1. Go to dealership?
2. Any local tuning shops that will do it cheaperS?
3. Buy rotors online (napa?)?
Let me know whatyou guys would recommend. Im in Woodland Hills, btw.
Thanks!

Oz, usually dealerships are more expensive, even with OEM parts, I would call up a dealership parts dept to get a quote how much to do all sides.
A performance shop like Steves Auto or Johnnies would probably charge 200 bucks in labour for the whole job. Pads and rotors can be fairly cheap whether they are performance or not if you find a cheap place to buy them online.
worse case is you get a how to off the net, buy some tools and do the job yourself.

CP, thanks for the info!
I see rotors on Napa, 34 for the fronts and 29 for the rears. Pads are about 50 per axle, but they have an AE metallic listed and a plain metallic. Not sure what the difference is. I fired off an email to Steves Auto Clinic as well.
