I've read through the searched threads, and it looks like A1 and Five Star Tinting come up a lot. Has anyone had tinting done in the Santa Monica, Venice, Marina Del Rey area? Looking to get all five windows done.

I used Al and Ed's Autosound on Wilshire and Centinela in Santa Monica. Had my MCSc done there. REALLY great job, and a decent price. They only took a couple hours..

I CAN recommend them!

Unfortunately, I got a ticket last week after 1 year (1) to have my illegal tinting removed. :( :( :( I'll go back to them and have a shade lighter put on.

Rune, I used A pro tint on wilshire in west LA. They are located right around barrington. I know of 5 people who have used them including myself, and I will have them do my MCS when it gets here. I went with 30% comfort series/formula one. No one has every bothered me. I think you can get that tint for all 5 windows for 229.

Great job and I love the Huper optics, great heat rejection amd they didn;t have to go so dark that the CHP would hassle me.

I ended up going with A Pro Glass Tinting on Santa Monica at Barrington (thanks climbergirl!). They took about an hour and a half (in at 1pm, out at 2:30), and did a great job on the tinting! I went with Formula One/Ultimate 50% tint all around (one step up from the comfort series). Price was $369 all inclusive for five windows. Lifetime warranty. The front windows are very well done.. You can't even tell they added tint, it goes all the way up to the tip of the glass! Definitely recommend them if you're in the area. I'll take some new closeup pics of my car with the tint this weekend.
