The helix short shifter is actually an adapter for the stock shifter. It's made really well and feels nice. Good thing about it is that you don't lose any height to your stock shifter. I've got the Alta and dropping it down all the way and driving is a pain in the ***.

Oh yeah the helix is only about $45 really inexpensive compared to buying an entire unit which will run easily over $100 bucks. The install for the Helix kit is fairly easy also.
