So I was happy to get a quick appointment at Nick Alexander (see this thread for my issue: https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...ad.php?t=43013), but somewhat surpised that they refuse to give me a loaner (thus making it quite difficult to get to and from work, not to mention the dealer). I know they are not required to offer this, but I assumed from other people's expierences and since I bought my car from them that I would at least get a rental. Am I just not being pushy enough? Is there anything else I should be prepared for from NA? Unfortunatly I have to drop it off Thursday evening to have it inspected on Friday. I'm nervous Someone calm my nerves please.

 

Hmmm....when you booked the appointment, did you specify that you would need a loaner? Maybe because they could see you so quickly, their loaners are all booked for the day. I had an appointment there last year and booked it several weeks in advance, which allowed me to reserve a loaner, even though I purchased Wanda elsewhere.

I would definitely be firm with them and remind them that you bought your MINI there! Squeaky wheel gets the synthetic MINI oil!

I had a busted AC compressor, which was causing my steering wheel vibration at idle. I must admit that I don't use my AC all that often (I'm more of a windows down/sunroof open kinda girl), so I can't be certian that it was even working properly. The part is supposed to come in today (monday); we'll see how long it takes after that.
Has anyone else had problems with the AC compressor? Is this an achiles heel of the MINI or was I just unlucky?
On a side note, I was able to get a loaner (CR/W 05 MC with >600 miles on it).
