I drive by Long Beach MINI too and from work every day. I've noticed a disturbing trend for the past couple weeks. Z4s in the lot!!! Lots of them, all facing Spring St. They are not pretty.

It makes my eyes sad and my stomach turn when I see this.

Bring back the MINIs!!!!

 

It might be a supply and demand thing.
At this time, all of the 2003 MINIs are sold out and we are waiting on the arrival of the 2004s so inventory is esp low. Dealers still have to sell cars so they show what they have left over.
I don't think they really have much choice.
Let's hope to see more MINIs soon.

It just seems so wrong to have those ugly Z4s where smiling MINIs should be.

 

According to their website, as of 20 September, their inventory is sold out!

 

yeah, MINIUSA and BMW slowed down on MINI production and allocations, limiting their numbers, to keep the residual values high.

 

I know this seems far away, but my new MC '04 in crossing the pond at the moment. It will be at Long Beach MINI soon. So you'll have more MINI's to look at soon. Of course, I'll be racing over there to pick it up as soon as possible.

 

reggie1 - you'll have to find your car behind X5's now, the Z4's are gone. :smile:

Have any 2004's MINI's showed up in their lot yet? They should be coming soon.

 

I was there yesterday. The guys at LB MINI told me they're expecting '04s in about 2-3 weeks.

Order has been brought back to LB MINI Land. There are about 20 MINIs in the lot now.

What's wrong with the Z4?
I'd probably own one if they weren't $40k when all is said and done.
