This car is amazing to drive. I have put 500 miles in four days. I don't think I have ever driven such a balance of performance, handling, ergonomics, and asthetics. It is as good as Bach!!

The only problem I've encoutered is the seats are not very comfortable for me-- started having a bit of a back ache, numbness. Seems the seats are very firm (I used conditioner each AM, then waited a few minutes and drove with the seat heater on-- this really helped alot to soften and mold the seat), and the lumbar is too low (I got the leatherette seats, so don't have an adjustment.

Has anyone else found a problem? Any solutions? I tried a pad over the weekend, and it was only a little help. A driver at mid-ohio speedway (I went there to take a driving course on Sat), said I was the third person who complained about the seats in the mini, so I guess I'm not the only one.

There are two places in Columbus that make appliances for car seats, and if I can't find another fix, I'm going to talk to a Phys Therapist, have her look at my seat, and then get a custom lumbar cushion made. I have had problems in other cars before, so this is not the first time. The mini seat is shorter and more contoured (I sink into the center) than larger cars I am used to.

Sorry to bore you with even the smallest hint of a problem, because the car other than this has been a real joy to drive. I have driven German, British, and Swedish cars and sports cars in the past-- this mini is what I was waiting for-- it is definately worth the wait!! Any suggestions you have about the seat (short of back surgery, for now) will be appreciated-- maybe I could make a 'mini' velcro harness and hang myself from the sunroof... I did, by the way call mini and ask if they had any suggestions.

I have had the my chili red MCS for 8 days and about 450 miles. The first few days I too had back aches, but I adjusted the lumbar support and eventually found a setting that was comfortable for me.
