Challenging job for mini SPECIALIST!
https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...g-goodbye.html
In the link is my car's problem...
Basically I couldn't start the engine one day and had to tow it to a mechanic shop nearby. Then the mechanic told me that R53 is a car that burns engine oil quickly and has then burnt all my engine oil, causing the breakage of the timing chain, and saying that it is a manufacturer's error.
Yet my car has just changed its oil 6 weeks ago and had then drove less than 1k miles...
I'm thinking he might not be the best mechanic for Mini and so I'm now looking for a Mini Specialist in So Cal that had experience in similar problem.
Please let me know if you're interested in this challenging job.

Heelllllloooo sir, lol so what is it exactly that you want to know? For one, the R53 is NOT the car that consumes oil. That would be the R56 turbo engines lol. How many miles are on youre MINI? I have seen the timing chain break on these cars, but only one time. It was a rare occurance. Where did you have your oil changed? Is it possible that someone left the drain plug loose, or perhaps broke the rubber o-ring while tightening the oil filter? Those could cause loss of oil. But unless you are blowing smoke out of the exhaust like crazy, the chances of you buring that much oil in 6 weeks are slim to none. Give me a call, im going to pm you my phone number.

OHHHHH im sorry, NOW I read the link lol. Hmmm, my advise would be to replace the complete engine, as sad as I am to say it. You CAN try to save the engine by just doing the chain, but there is a good chance you will have something else inside the engine damaged, especially if it ran out of oil. I can replace the engine for you, I will beat almost anyones price. Or, I can do the chain. But I can not promise you that it will run after doing the chain. Its a gamble.
