Hiya, Houstonians!!!

Hubby, Rick, and I will be in Houston on Wednesday, May 26, staying at the La Quinta Inn Houston Wirt Road.

Anyone want to get together with us for dinner? Any suggestions of where to get some good Tex-Mex food?

Post your suggestions here, please! Thanks!

MINIclo posting on Yucca's laptop:

atn,

We're staying at the La Quinta Inn Houston Wirt Road, on Katy Freeway (?), wherever that is, tee hee! Do you know that location and is it near any good places to eat?

Clo, I posted on the HMMS forums about your arrival, and so far several people have expressed an interest. I know that earlier we discussed Lupe Tortilla's, a great Houston-based Tex Mex restaurant. There are several locations, the most centrally located being Hwy 59 near Kirby. I can get your driving directions from your hotel if need be, it won't be too far of a commute. What time would be good for you and hubby?

You can definitely count me in (two humans and a MINI). If anyone else has other tex mex suggestions, post them! And trust me, Captain D's is most certainly out of the question! Ick!

Hey on second thought, does anyone know if there are any yummy restaurants over in the Marquee Pavillion (I 10 and silber)? That would be like INCHES from Clo's hotel, meaning less of a drive for her and her road-weary hubby. There are also some fun places in that area to catch a drink afterwards if anyone is interested.

Are you guys going to make it through Dallas? I could help get that roof graphic on and we could grab lunch or a beer with a few of the other locals.

We think that you Dallas folk should motor down to Houston for the festivities! We can make it an impromptu state-wide MINI rally! I'll be in Fort Worth sometime this month- hope to see some happy MINIs on my trip (I was there in Feb and only saw one: on a giant billboard advertising the price of the car! I was flabberghasted.)

MINIclo posting on Yucca's laptop computer:

Hi, Matt!

We are making our way back to Cali from Birmingham via New Orleans, Houston, Las Cruces, Albuquerque (to visit 2minis & wifey), then back to L.A. Unfortunately, Dallas is too far north....dang!
