Tucson Dealership

Salesman at the Tucson Jaguar Dealership told a friend of mine that Tucson was getting a Mini Cooper Dealership this year.

Can anyone confirm or deny this rumor???

Thanks in advance, not having a local dealer is the only thing between me and purchasing one.

Last week a service manager at Dobb's Honda told me a Mini dealership was taking over the old BMW building at the auto mall, next to their facility. Expected completion was summer 2012. I hope this is the case!

I heard the same thing from a different source. There was some issue with the dealerships in Phoenix that had to be resolved.

California got the Mini dealership and there are no plans to have one built in Tucson.

Too bad. I sure am noticing a lot of Minis in Tucson, lately. Had my first experience at Mini of Tempe the other day for a warranty issue. I was pleased with the service, but closer would have been better. Anyone have any recommendations on the independent shops in town?

I have talked with Blue and White about a repair SE side and the owner was trained on the 2nd gen models, he can work on all but knows more about the newer models. I had warranty work done at Deering automotive NW side, they are knowledgeable but can be expensive.

I was at Blue and White yesterday and was told Royal Automotive Group will be opening a Mini dealership in Tucson. I don't know when but hopefully it will be soon.

For those that don't know yet, Mini of Tucson is on the North side of 22nd just a building or two west of Swan. They are owned by Royal Automotive Group and are head and shoulders above what is considered the regular car dealership.
