Anybody out there from the North Florida area???

 

Where exactly in North Florida?

 

I'm in J'ville myself. I would like to try and get the North Florida folks (Gainesville, Jax, etc. ) together for a meet one weekend. Let me know what you think.

 

well I'll be in Gainsville starting on Aug.17 when are u planning to meet?

 

I would like to shoot for some time in september. Let's some folks actually get their mini in. Mine should be here in about two weeks. Hopefully we'll get some more folks responding to this link so we can have at least a few cars together. I know of one other N. Fla. person on this site and I will contact them to see if they are interested.

Any ideas let me know.

I'm in Jax also..However my Mini S is still in England... waiting for the boat! I'll keep watch on the forum and see what happens.. I really dont like talking Mini when Mine isnt here yet!!

I actually live in South Florida...... but my father lives about an hour south of jacksonville, and I usually visit him at the end of the year/beginning of the new year! If you guys have a get together planned on one of my trips up there (assuming i've gotten my mini by then i'll just haveta keep track of everything going on so i know when/where!

What kind of get together would this be? Racing? or just motoring around the town??

I was thinking of just a Motor trip out of town, maybe down to St. Augustine (Nations Oldest City) and a bite of lunch somewhere. I think our Minis would look quite nice with the wate and the old fort in the background. Give me any ideas you guys can come up with.

Thumper460, you can track your mini on the boat on the shipping company's tracking site. Look back through the posts for one called, "Production Times" I believe and in their it give you the site. You just need your VIN number from the dealer and you can track it.

I live in the Jacksonville area also. A lunch meet down in St.Augustine with a bunch of MINIs lined up in the parking lot sounds great.

 

How about meeting at the King's Head Pub on US 1? A Brittish pub and Mini's, Sounds like a good place to meet, let me know. :smile:

Why don't you pick a weekend day in September or October, and we can vote on it...

 

I'm in Central FL (Lakeland/Winter Haven area,) but a road trip to St. Augustine sounds great...Let me know the details and I'll try to come up to ya'lls "shindig." LOL

 

my father lives up by lakeland! I'd love to join you all up there sometime! I could bring him along, i'm sure he'd have a good time!!

 

I was originally planning on September 21 or 22 but their is a "Vintage" Car show being put on by the Triumph Club and they have yet to get back to me about adding some New Mini's to the line up.

How about we shoot for October 12th at the King's Head Pub on US 1???

That date sounds good to me. I can start begging to get that night off of work. LOL. I want to meet with other Mini owners sooooo bad. I'm going to miss the Central FL meet on Aug. 24th because I'll be in Maine for a wedding <sigh> But Dolly (my Mini) and I will be thrilled to cruise along the coast to meet at the pub. Hi all! I talked to Ann who owns the King's Head Pub and she is all for us coming down for a meet and greet and having some good pub lunches. I told her I would let her know a car count later on so let me know if you can attend. October 12th at 12:30 at The King's Head Pub on US 1 just north of St. Augustine. As I start getting an idea of how many will be attending I will provide some more details or plans (maybe t-shirts). Let me know any ideas you may have. :smile:
