my master cylinder gave out on me. i hav to drive back home on 1st gear.

 

k got it fixed. i had to go to a junk yard since the dealer didnt even have it. im back on track. when do you guys want to meet up?

 

What junk yard??? I was looking about 6 months ago for some spar parts maybe, called a bunch of places in medley/Hialeah area and no one had any MINIs.

 

I went to a junk yard called autoban. I just needed the master cylinder. Mine was all rusted out I don't why though. I looks like it was in saltwater for years.

 

If you are close to the beach or water, that will do it. I used to work in Miami Beach and I had some similar issues, nothing major though that had to be replaced.

Where is autobahn located at and dis you see any more MINIs there?

 

Its on cairo lane. By opalaca. I they only had one mini and it was the non s but the master cylinder fit my S perfect. And I bought my car used so god knows where they lived.the junk yard has bmw' and mercedez. They usually don't get minis that often I found it by a miricle. There's other junk yards on cairo lane that specialise in german cars. You would hav to go and look for your self because if call and ask they always say no that's what happened to me I called the autoban junk yard and asked if they had a mini and they said no so the next day I had to do something by there so I stopped by and thy had one mini. So your best bet is to go in person and look around.

I guess we can give it another go. This time I'd to get feedback having a meetup at one of these two locations. I don't have a specific area at the moment, just wanted to gauge the willingness of MINI owners based on generalized area.

I would be interested in North Broward. We can meet up at or by Bru's Room located in Parkland. Hillsboro Blvd and 441. Close to the Turnpike and Sawgrass Expressway. They have great wings!

i'd be interested in north dade. since i live on the border between broward and dade.

 

I would be down to meet up too. I live almost on Hollywood beach/boardwalk so either location would be fine, although I would more likely prefer broward

 

MOM is Miami Dade county. Maybe a new group like South Florida Minis SOFLOminis. Lots of groups have business cards that say have more fun with your mini (something like that) and they leave them on the windows etc. New Florida group broward and palm beach meetings. Lots of MINIs up here and sure there are plenty in broward.

 

Around north dade there's allot of mini also

 

To bad not on the west coast. In Ft Myers here and I started up a group here called SWFL MINI...we are actually meeting up this Saturday night for a car cruise in night in downtown Ft Myers.

 

i really want to start a club here in miami called the Miami Coop's or MC's. sort of like a rival club towards Minis Of Miami or any other club here in miami. i have a mechanic shop that can be like the club "hangout" or something. any other ideas?

I just graduated from FIU and now working for Wachovia. I live 2min. from the FIU/FAIR campus. I'm excited to get started on the MINI and meet a couple of you guys. First thing up is putting in a 15% pulley. I've been reading that it helps ~15-20HP from that one mod. Thing is I've never replaced one of these things and I'm a little scared I'm going mess my new toy up. I'm going to take it slow with that. Maybe, replace the grills next.

I'm not much for engines but if you guys have any audio/video questions (or PC questions) I can probably help you there. I'm especially good with subwoofer builds/installations.

How about the Palm Beach Mini's setting up a meet in Palm Beach. I can coordinate if needed.

Go ahead and try to get a Palm Beach meeting up and running and let me know how it pans out. I am hoping for Palm MINI owners to join in on any possible meets up in Broward Area.

Ultimately, I'm trying to figure out a good location that makes the distance even between the three counties since it seems that we have interested parties in all three but no clear out majority in any county.
