MINI Service in north/northwest Twin Cities?
Nearing the plunge for getting a new MINI. Getting to Metrowerks for service will be a PITA as a commute - given where I live and work. Contemplating whether to get the free extended maintenance plan versus the cheaper financing when I buy, and wrestle with being locked in to Metrowerks for 100,000 miles of periodic service.
Any recommends of a place that does MINI's right up on the north/northwest side of the city?
TIA,
Ken

Hello Ken,
I live in the northeast metro, and I have taken my 2006 Mini Cooper to Eurotech once (they dropped the "JB" a while back), for a new battery and a coolant flush. In my experience, they quote almost exactly the same prices as Motorwerks. I think they're using the same software system as the dealer to calculate parts and labor prices. Eurotech was quite a bit lower on the price of the battery, but the flush was $3 (yes, three dollars) less than Motorwerks.
When I wanted to upgrade my rear sway bar, I got a quote from Eurotech, and it was over $1000 for the labor (same as the dealer), so I had Orr Autosport do the labor for $350. HUGE difference!
Since I had the flush done, they have begun offering a 2-year warranty on their work, so now they are almost exactly in line with the dealer.
Nice friendly people and a pleasant waiting room. They support the local Mini club (M.U.M.) as well.
I have heard of a few Mini club members who have taken their cars to Woody's Garage in Ham Lake, but I haven't any experience with them.

I highly recommend Seth and Eurotech!!
I had my 2013 Mini Cooper S Coupe's exhaust done here and also a few other smaller things. Great service and work and Seth is pretty active on the MINI boards too. Great place!!
