2006 JCW factory options - JCW Sport Suspension not included?
I see that the JCW Sport Suspension option is listed on the MNIUSA "Build Your Own" page under "Accessories", not "Performance, Handling" as is the Sport Suspension Plus. Does this mean that the JCW Sport Suspension is dealer installed, and thus not legal for a 2006 JCW MINI in stock classes?
I heard a rumor that the 2006 JCW MCS will end up in B Stock, while the MCS will stay in in a competitive class (G Stock?). Wouldn't that be nice!

That doesn't make sense! How could the car be 1" lower unless it had different suspension or was a different car. It makes sense that putting in the red springs would drop the car, but if that is dealer installed rather than a factory line item, then it wouldn't be stock legal.
The Sport package adds DSC, 17" wheels, and some other non performance items. The factory line item "JCW tuning kit" says it will add "An uprated supercharger, modified cylinder head, parallel-flow sports twin exhaust, and recalibrated ECU system deliver 207-bhp and enhanced performance; a world-class braking system with larger brake discs and callipers at the front and special brake linings on the rear axle; a limited slip differential (LSD) that reduces drive-wheel spin." Nothing about suspension changes or any other height effecting items...
I don't think you can get the lower clearance and be stock legal. Add that to the problems associated with the 17" wheels, and the JCW car looks less and less attractive for stock... Not that I'm likely to give up on my 2005 in any case.
