AVATAR please

Mark,
I really like the look and feel of the site now. What is still missing is custom avatars? Please help.
Herbert

I know I am about to put "I am a girl" in my sig but alas would rather convey the message thru avatar . I must talk like a guy cause unless i post in a girly thread everyone thinks I am ba-matt instead of bama-tt

No update yet...I've been busy with work on both the MOTD and MITM events. I'll post something on the home page when I have everything I've been wanting to do figured out.

Boo Avatars. Mark, I really hope this will be something that can be turned off, a la signatures. I don't have any desire to see additional crap on the page; it takes away from the primary purpose of the forum, which is a communication medium.

Hate to disappoint you, but NAM has had avatars since it was MCO... They're the icons that are next to many people's names... All that would be added is the ability for members to use avatars that they create... So in reality there really wouldn't be additional graphics added...

You can already disable avatars and signatures in your user settings. It is especially helpful for those on dial up that don't have the bandwidth to spare.

Mark, will the new settings still keep the 32X32 size limit for the avatars like the current ones?

It is almost time for the next MOTD and we still have not gotten any feedback or updates. Is it really that difficult?

That's because we've been at the Dragon for nearly three days already. The main reason I haven't implemented custom avatars yet is that it will be part of a new program I'll be launching on the site. Given this Dragon I've not had time to complete everything included in the program.
