Is it possible for there to be an option to exclude one or more forums from the New Posts listing?

At worst, I'd like to be able to see only MINI-related topics when I click "New Posts." At best, I'd like to specifically exclude OT:Politics.

I never see them in 'new posts' - I thought that was standard (and made sense)

I don't see any OT posts in 'new posts'.

Actually, I don't see them in 'latest topics' to the left of the screen. Is that what you're referring to?

 

Can you tell me where you are in the site so that I can insure I'm looking at the same area?

On a related note the Pulse has a drop-down option so that you can see only the latest posts to automotive-related forums.

I'd also like to know if there's a setting that'll allow me to exclude some topics. I'd really like to exclude the political thread especially.

 

From the menu on the left side of the page (with User CP at the top of it). I click on New Posts to see what's happened since I last visited. I get the list of topic, who made the last post, etc, from all of the active forums.

It would be cool to set up something in my profile to choose which forums would show up in the the list - sorta like the Pulse option to view only automotive forums. (It's easy enough to only read the topics I want, but just seeing the thread titles in OT:Politics can be a downer!)
