Really?

I am a MINI enthusiast, I did not realize I could not post about speeds? Is there like a freaking police on this site that tracks everything you say? All I said was its easy to go a certain speed which apparently I cannot say. We are all MINI lovers here. I realize this is the site policy. And I will NOT be talking about it again. Just wanted people to try and lighten up a little. Have a great night people! MOTOR ON!

Head over to the Racing and Competition section of the Forum. There are no speed limits or 'freaking police' on the track.

Dude, it's not even worth ranting about. Sometimes I wonder why I even bother with this site as most of the people I used to associate with have moved on to other sites. You can't say anything without offending someone and some of the decisions by some of the mods are questionable at best. But, there is a lot of knowledge to be gained, so don't let something like this ruin your experience on this site. Glad you're enjoying your MINI. Stay safe!!

Don't worry about it bro. Just ignore all the mightier than thou Internet nannies and post your thoughts. It's not like they can write you a speeding ticket.

As I understand it there is the possibility of liability for the site owners if they allow even tacitly favorable discussions of speeds above the posted limits. PC is the name of the game in our country now.

Pfft 150 mph on the autobahn is child's play Going back and forth from Holland to Nurburgring 150 is cruising speed Though I haven't taken my new JCW to the limit yet. My Triumph Daytona has seen the redline in 6th gear and I've ridden in my buddies 2010 M3 as he had it pegged. God I love living in Europe

Well, maybe you all should find a way to make SURE people are actually reading the SG when they sign up. Maybe even do background checks on people.

Or - !!

We could just actually hold them to it when problems arise.

Oh wait, that's what already happens!

If it is legal to do those speeds on the Autobahn, (I think it is), there should be no issues here with relating those driving experiences, right? I can post about doing 120 down the front straight at Watkins Glen because it is on a closed track, right?

Correct, it's the illegal driving that is prohibited per the site guidelines, that everyone who is posting in this thread has read and agreed to before completing their registration to NAM.

Just in case folks need a reminder.... https://www.northamericanmotoring.com/guidelines
LEGAL
Posts relating to street racing, excessive speeding, or violations of other laws are prohibited. If you want to race, take it to a legal venue.
120 on the straight at Watkins Glen is legal, just as it is on the autobahn.
