More replies below current depth?

Hi folks,
I hope that this is the right place to ask this question. I did not see anything like it elsewhere.
I have posted a few times. Most of them I see just fine. But a couple of them do not show up. But when I check the thread at the top of the forum I see "More replies below current depth". How do I get "below the current depth" to read the posts?
Or is this clear as mud?

Thanks for the help.

Do you know if you're in Linear, Hybrid or Threaded mode? (may have found a possible cause/solution to this, but it's not something I am able to replicate myself as of yet)

Also in taking a look at your past posts https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...archid=5339049 does it appear that they are al going through?

Although I have tried all of the modes, right now I am in the Hybrid mode. As far as I know, the posts went through, however I can not see them all because they are "below the current depth".

Does it matter if you just hit the reply button, or if you put a title on the post, or if you use the quote button?

Ok well from the research I've done this happens because of two things...

NAM's software has a feature written into it to make NAM more easily search-able by google.

NAM has threads that are very long and heavily populated, causing more posts to be displayed than the format is designed comfortably handle.

So I've gone in and adjusted a setting to allow more posts before you see this error, however this does mean it will start to slow site loading speed so I can't just open that up entirely or you're looking at 5 min or more to load some of the larger threads here on NAM.

I will also suggest using the LINEAR display to avoid this altogether (if the issue still presents itself here then this is an issue well over my head) as a temporary solution to having more functionality.

I'm also going to forward this one up to the tech support team at Internet Brands to see if they've got a known solution for this.

Thanks so much for the help and insight. I have changed to LINEAR, and changed from forum default to 20 posts per page. It seems to have fixed the problem. However, since this is not the "default setup" I wonder if others are having the same problem?
Just a thought. Thanks again for the help.
Bob
