I'm not a moderator, but here's a suggestion...spell it out, I'm thinking that moderators have better things to do than play "find the problem" games...

 

Yes, Chitown_COOP, he even posted that he was back. Maybe he was just on probation or something or maybe when the server went down the "block " wasn't restored.
In any case, I haven't seen anything inappropriate and he's been posting with the community.

 

I noticed, and you may have seen that his post in the Performance mods forum have been deleted. I'm sure Mark or MINIClo or TheScientist will take care of it soon in MINI Talk as well.

 

Well, I would think that the problem would be obvious, and I was trying not to come off as too much of a jerk, but I was under the impression that users were banned for life, not just for three weeks. Maybe I missed something.

Thanks for the heads-up, Chitown. Apparently, when the site crashed, Mr. 2cool was able to return to MCO. I have alerted Mark Ferguson, and the error will be rectified. I really appreciate your concern. Thanks!

I don't want to come off as a total killjoy-tattle-tail kind of guy...but that is what I look like now, I guess. I thought that perhaps he had been reinstated, and I was confused as to why there hadn't been an announcement made as to a change in the "rules of the road" here on MCO.

Funny though, eh? Do you think he's just been trying to post every few minutes for the past three weeks? Or is it just that the board went down and he saw his opening?

Ah well...back to our regularly scheduled programming, huh?

 

I have been watching and reviewing his posts since he returned after the crash.
I cannot recommend that things continue as is.

This issue has been resolved. As I mentioned on the home page regarding the restoration of the site there were likely a few things that would be missed....the software updates I had made to enforce banning were not rolled back in and the user in question took advantage of the fact. These updates have been redeployed and the user again has reading privileges but no ability to post to the site.

Please let me know if any further "strangeness" is found since the restoration of the site.

LOL, mark you should just tease him every week or so and post a "site is down message" that only he could see and that's all he could see. Or you should just take away his reading privelages all together.
