Nate,
9:47pm/Central Time Zone
Dexter, MO
Took 3 minutes for the reply page to load. First noticed an issue around 7:00pm , but was having some other computer issues so I didn't worry about it then.
I've been trying to get on NAM for almost 45 minutes on two different computers. Once online this thread is the first place I went.

2130hrs like clay on sandpaper. What is happening?
I think I'm going elsewhere until this gets fixed. Too bad because this is the best MINI site up to now.

I thought IB was bigger and better, what gives? Been super slow or not at all in Chicago area for hours now.
IP address removed due to this note from a friend, "I strongly suggest that you revise your post and REMOVE your IP addy info. Hackers can use it in several different ways...they can ping your system to try to get into it and then use your system to send out spam/viruses...they can also use the actual numbers in phishing scams so that YOUR addy appears in the headers (think of it as using the *67 feature on a phone--it hides their real IP addy and inserts your IP numbers instead.)"

Really in the scope of the world then sending any e-mail is also dangerous or going to any web page for a person that really wants your IP can get it at there leasure...
Remember that most communication with any web site is not only 2 way but you to many sort of connection once the information leaves your PC its wide open for anyone to sniff out.

I had to re-read your post several times because it wasn't clearly written. Here's what I've been able to decipher so far:
Yes, it IS possible for someone who really wants your IP to get it at their leisure...but why make it even easier?
Sorry...I did try...but I simply cannot determine what you were trying to say in your last sentence.
Yesterday August 13, 2008 from about 8:00pm EST

--NO IP Available to a public forum--
Seems that the text portion would load sometimes, and the site images (header, button, etc.) would cause a meltdown on the server. Sometimes I would just receive error that IE could not connect to the site. If the threads would come up after about 5 minutes of waiting I could only view the titles. Clicking on a thread to view the messages would only load the header portion of the site and not the body.

I shall try to explain Basicly if your on the web your broadcasting your ip everywhere if you want to see this some time install an application called wireshark and run it all day and look for traffic not from your computer that arrives at your computer.
I hope that explains better!?!?
"Security by obscuring your self is not security at all"
Obtaining your IP is no hard thing to do, everyone that connects to a forum such as this has their IP captured anyway. Lots of people have access to that data.
Posting an IP is not like posting a CC or SSN. Chances are the IP will change with the next reboot.
Been being a total PITA all last night and this morning.
Last night:
8pm-roughly 11pm EST
Perkasie, PA
Pages take forever to load if they ever do. And if they do, they're FUBAR when they do. Did it last night, worked fine for a little bit this morning but it's doing it again. I guess 9am-10am started doing it again.
