How do you make photos full size?

You can't with an attachment. You should use your Gallery to upload the picture and then use the URL shown in the gallery (when viewing your image) for your post. Here is the FAQ area (under the FAQs in the Main Menu) that discusses how to use your gallery and use images from it in your posts.
