why is there no e-mail notification ?

 

It is my understanding that the current forum software does not support e-mail notification for entire threads. You can however get e-mail notification if you subscribe to a forum (I would *not* recommend subscribing to MINI Talk or Off Topic).

MCO does have email notification but unfortunately at the forum level (eg - every time something is posted to a forum you are notified of it via email...if you have subscribed to that forum). I'm working on migration to some new software that will allow you finer grained notification such as notify me when someone responds to a thread that I started or one that I want to watch. This is proving to be a pretty tricky and time consuming migration so it will take some time. Stay tuned..
