There's a lot of creative types on here. Anybody ever think of designing/selling an MCO sticker? I would definitely buy a few, they would look good on my rear windows

Yeah, this subject keeps coming up but no one does anything except say that they'd buy one. I'm not artistic nor involved in any graphics industry...otherwise, I'd design and sell something.

(I'll say it again..) I'd love to have an MCO sticker.

I'm sure Mark (mferguson) will be charmed by your kind and delicate words, and eager to have you represent his brainchild.

something simple would be fine, like just the website address in white lettering would be cool. It should be one of those stickers you stick on then run over the back with a credit card then peel off the backing and only the letters are left on the glass.

quick question for you guys before i start this. is there a shorter version of the name that will take us to this site? so instead of typing in a url of: minicooperonline.com, maybe mco.com or mco.net, or anything like that? not that it matters, but i think that having a shorter name/sticker would be better than a long one. ideas are still the same though.

I fully intend to offer something like this but there has been an issue that I've been working for a few months now regarding the name of the site...hence, my reluctance to produce a decal/new t-shirt with a name on it. That said, TEAM MCO has no issues with it and what I want to do is put together something on the site so that people can "reserve" a decal/shirt (possibly in the color to match their car) so I can get an idea of how many to have produced. In my research into the world of decal making I've found that it can be expensive depending on how it is done (die-cut), color, and quantity ordered. Obviously, I want to make sure I don't produce 1,000 of them an only 100 people purchase one.

In the meantime I'll put up a poll on the home page that you can place your vote for the types of decals you would like...this will give me an idea of the demand.

Thanks!

Mark

Mark, good call, it would be smart to correctly guage the interest in this before someone forks out some dough to make the stickers.

Just read that you're putting up a poll on the homepage, fantastic!

Sanity,
As I want to be able to protect the "brand" and the way that MCO is presented I need to be in the design loop regarding decals, urls, etc. let's chat offline (via email...mferguson@northamericanmotoring.com) on how best to move forward on this. Thanks!

Mark

The poll is up on the home page for the decals. Be sure to vote carefully as I've created a bunch of different options to help determine what mix and quantity of decals to create. Thanks!

ok, i sent one design to mark last night beofre i left ot go home. i didn't have time to get anymore done, but will be soon. the reason i'm sending it to him first is because it's his site, and he really has some final say in it. so i figured if he wants he can post them here. just keeping you guys updated.

I was going to post an update in the next couple of days relative to this. Decals are taking longer than I would like due to an outside business issue that I really can't go into detail about yet. I hope to have some resolution in the next couple of weeks so that I can get these out. I apologize for the delay.

Mark
